"College coaches tell me in one-on-one pass sets that I have very physical
hands," Cliett said about his strengths at offensive guard. "I am
very physical off of the ball and do not have slow feet. You know how most offensive
guards are big and are not very flexible. I am very flexible and have good feet."
Cody has seen some improvements from his sophomore to junior campaign.
"Probably my feet I would say. I am still working on my pro agility and
getting more flexible. I have talked to a lot of college coaches. They tell
me that being flexible is the key to getting to the D1 level."
The 6' 2", 285-pound guard expands on his sophomore campaign.
"I got All-Region my first year. I made a big jump from freshmen and sophomore
year. I really started busting at the seems my first few games last season,
and a lot of colleges started talking to me."
"MSU, South Alabama invited me to their OL/DL camp and I got two letters
from Indiana the other day."
Who else would he like to hear from?
"Definitely Alabama, Texas Tech, and I like Michigan State too."
MSU is the school closest to Cody's house.
"I like that they have a lot of new facilities. You can tell they are trying
to rebuild their program. They just got Chris Jones out of Houston so they are
getting some good players. Plus a big thing is that my cousin, Cole Carter,
plays at MSU. We are real close."
"The movie is about all I know about them. That really surprised me that
they sent me some letters. It's just a good basketball school."
