At 6-foot-4, 270-pounds, Chula Vista (Calif.) Eastlake senior tight end Wes Braddock has two offers and might secure more by the end of the Titans’ 2013 season.
“I have offers from USD and Idaho,” Braddock said. “I’m also hearing from Cal Poly and UNLV. UNLV said they’ll probably offer me throughout the season.”
Braddock said he’s been primarily getting phone calls from coaches and schools like USD have already come to watch his games.
“USD is pretty close so they offered me in person,” Braddock said. “USD came to the Madison game and Idaho or UNLV is coming to our next game in a week against Chula Vista.”
He had a pretty busy summer attending multiple camps up and down the western part of the U.S. and is primarily looking to play tight end in college.
“A lot of colleges are recruiting me as an offensive lineman and a tight end, but I’m identifying as a tight end,” Braddock said. “For camps, I attended UNLV, UC Davis, UC Berkeley, Stanford, SDSU, and UCLA over summer.”
Braddock mentioned he runs track and would like to do both if the opportunity presented itself. As far as what he looks for in a school, he mentioned academics would play a big role in his final decision.
“I would like to major in some sort of science,” Braddock said. “So a good all-around academic and athletic school would be best.”
Braddock won’t make his final decision until the end of the season, but is looking to schedule an official visit with Idaho come winter.
