"I just committed to Army," he said.
The Black Knights offered the 6-foot-1, 260-lb prospect in September and he fulfilled a long time goal of his by accepting that offer.
"I chose Army because I've always wanted to go to an academy and I love everything that West Point stands for."
He will also be able to do more than just play football with this opportunity.
"I feel a calling to serve and be a leader. There is no better place to do that than West Point, and the football program is up and coming and I love the coaching staff."
Baltrusaitis is the sixth known commitment for the Black Knights and the first from the state of Michigan.
He is their second commitment from the Midwest, joining Center Grove (Ind.) linebacker Alex Aukerman.
