Tuesday was a big day for Quinn Oseland, as the 6-foot-6, 300-pound offensive tackle picked up his first scholarship offer from Illinois, a school he has visited and become familiar with.
"It's great to get my first offer finally," he said. "All the hard work has paid off and I know that I have a coaching staff and university that believes in me as a player."
One staff that believes in him as well is his own. Cyclones offensive line coach Chad Anderson believes in his next level potential.
"Sometimes we forget these kids are 16-17 years old on an early offer kid," Anderson said. "Quinn is very physical and finishes blocks well. His strongest point is his willingness to be coached. I see him at the next level as an interior guy going 6-foot-6 and 315-320 pounds."
Oseland is also hearing from Iowa State, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Michigan State, Mississippi, Missouri, Notre Dame, Wisconsin and others.
