Despite being a four-year varsity starter, Josh Stilley is still waiting on his first scholarship offer.
However, that could change in the near future.
“There’s about five schools that are really interested – Davidson, Coastal Carolina, Lehigh, Bucknell and James Madison,” said the 6-foot-1, 195-pound Stilley. “Richmond, Furman and Elon are also recruiting me.”
The Hough signal-caller has visited multiple schools.
“I've gone to games at Davidson, James Madison, Coastal Carolina and Furman,” he said.
One of those visits stood out.
“I liked the Coastal Carolina game a lot," Stilley said. "I just liked how their offense works and it’s real fast-paced. It seemed like it would be a fun offense to be a part of.
In regards to the rest of the season, Stilley said he may visit Lehigh and Bucknell.
Stilley has helped lead Hough to a 8-1 record and has high goals for the rest of the season.
“I want to definitely make all-conference and hopefully all-state,” he said. “Team-wise, want to go deep in the playoffs and be a contender for states.
"We just have to execute offensively and do a good job of stopping the run on defense."
Hough hosts North Mecklenburg next Friday.
