Allen Trieu - National Recruiting Analyst
Friday: Wheaton (Ill.) Warrenville South vs Chicago (Ill.) Dunbar at Gately Stadium at 4 p.m.
South has an intriguing junior in Tommy Vitale, the younger brother of Northwestern superback Dan Vitale. Tommy is an athletic outside linebacker prospect who looks like he could be a BCS level prospect as well. Dunbar has several seniors who are sleepers and may be candidates for late offers.

Friday: Chicago (Ill.) Mt. Carmel vs Lisle (Ill.) Benet Academy at 7:30 p.m.
Benet is lead by one of the top junior quarterbacks in the Midwest, Jack Beneventi, who holds several BCS offers. Mt. Carmel is lead by Minnesota commit Steven Richardson and Michigan State commit Enoch Smith Jr. on the defensive line and Illinois commit Matt Domer at running back. They also feature senior center Nathan Oquendo, who has a couple of offers and interested schools and Western Michigan commit Deontae Brown at safety. Saturday: Massillon at Canton McKinley at 2:30 p.m.
The greatest rivalry in high school football in America resumes this weekend with an added twist. Should Massillon not win this game, they will miss the playoffs, which only adds to the intensity. Massillon features freshman quarterback Danny Clark, the top 2017 prospect in-state and a future star. He has weapons in Toledo commit Marcus Whitfield and junior Reggie Rogers, who already holds a Kentucky offer. Cincinnati commit Nathaniel Devers leads an experienced offensive line. For undefeated McKinley, junior Eric Glover-Williams is one of the top 2015 prospects in the Midwest, and the Ohio State commit is battling back from a foot injury. Senior linebacker Jamal Davis holds several offers including Indiana and Minnesota, and he anchors a solid defense.

Thursday: Clayton (Ohio) Northmont vs. Huber Heights (Ohio) Wayne at 7:00 p.m. TV: FOX Sports Ohio Game of the Week
Both teams enter with 8-1 records with the winner claiming a conference championship. Plenty of talent on both teams as Wayne is lead by Kentucky linebacker pledge Dorian Hendrix who is having a solid senior season. Junior safety Tyree Kinnel has already given his pledge to Michigan and quarterback D’Mitrik Trice is having a great year with 2,247 yards passing with 26 touchdowns and only three interceptions.  Northmont has senior under the radar quarterback Graham Oberer who has thrown for over 2,000 yards and 26 touchdowns. His main target is senior Cameron Taylor who has 801 yards receiving with 11 touchdowns. On defense, Louisville pledge Terry Ramsey continues to take his game to a new level and senior defensive back Josh Blanton holds an offer from Miami Ohio and is hearing from several other Mid-American Conference programs.

Friday: Dayton (Ohio) Meadowdale vs. Dayton (Ohio) Dunbar at 7:00 p.m.
This is our chance to catch two Dayton City League teams close out their seasons. Dunbar sophomore quarterback Lamar Florence impressed us during the summer and we’ll want to get a good look at how he’s progressed. This also gives us a chance to check on sophomore lineman Davaughn Alexander to check out. There is also a good chance Meadowdale has a few prospects deserving of exposure.

Saturday: Dayton (Ohio) Thurgood Marshall vs. Dayton (Ohio) Ponitz Career Tech Center at 7:00 p.m.
Thurgood Marshall has played a tough schedule this season and Michigan State pledge Vayante Copeland has proven to be worthy of his four-star ranking. Cincinnati pledge Landon Brazile continues to improve in his first year of playing football. This will be our first chance to check out Ponitz to see if they have any hidden prospects.

Friday: No. 1 Springfield (Ill.) Sacred Heart-Griffin vs. No. 16 Peoria (Ill.) Richwoods
Springfield Sacred Heart-Griffin carries an undefeated record and a No. 1 seed into the first round of the playoffs for Illinois state 5A classification. The Cyclones host Richwoods (Peoria) Friday with kickoff set for 7 p.m. One of the winningest programs in the state, SHG has another talented cast vying for a fourth state title since 2005. Wide receiver Malik Turner committed to Illinois in the summer as an under-the-radar type due to injuries in previous years. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound speedster has enjoyed a solid senior season thanks to good health and is now considered one of the better in-state receiving threats in the 2014 class. He's joined on offense by 2015 stars Gabe Green and Quinn Oseland. Green, a 6-1, 195-pound quarterback, has interest from numerous Big Ten schools. He most recently visited Iowa with Oseland, his chief protector on the offensive line. Oseland is a 6-foot-6, 315-pound tackle that recently picked up his first offer from Illinois. He's also hearing from Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan State and others. The Knights from Richwoods finished with a 5-4 record in the regular season and snagged one of the last seeds in the tournament. While SHG is a clear favorite to win, anything can happen in the playoffs. .

Brother Rice (9-0) is in pursuit of its third straight Division 2 state title, and their quest begins with a first round  matchup with Groves (7-2) Friday night at Hurley Field. At 6-foot-2, 192-pounds, Malzone possesses elite level arm strength and has done a nice job this season as a first year starter int he Warriors offense. While he doesn’t have a BCS offer yet, a championship run is sure to get the attention of the local universities in the Big Ten. He has already has been on a visit to Michigan for game earlier this season, and camped in Ann Arbor this past June. Malzone has a pair of go to wide receivers to throw to in senior Corey Lacanaria and  2015 three-star Grant Perry. At 5-foot-11, 175-pounds, Perry is a shifty receiver who could rise in the rankings with a strong performance this post season.
