Oakley (Calif.) Freedom 2015 offensive lineman Dominic Fredrickson got good news on Thursday.
"I got my first offer from Idaho," said Fredrickson.
It all went down while Freedom was prepping for their Friday night game.
"We were walking on the field (Thursday) for walk-through and my Coach Mori handed me the phone and Coach (Alfred) Pupunu offered me," said Fredrickson.
Fredrickson, who plays tackle for Freedom, is a three-star center prospect in the 2015 class.
"They offered me as a general lineman, they didn't really specify," said Fredrickson.
And he was thrilled to get his first offer.
"It's nice to finally get that first one after all the hard work," said Fredrickson. "It was definitely a surprise."
Fredrickson said he's also hearing from Cal, Washington State, Oregon and Wisconsin.
Freedom plays Antioch on Friday.
