The highlight numbers weren't there this season. But ask any Moore (Okla.) Southmoore coach and they'll tell you wide receiver Jalen Adams became an even better player this season.
Adams, a two-star prospect, confirmed he has committed to North Texas on Thursday morning. Adams chooses the Mean Green over offers from schools such as Indiana, Tulsa, and San Diego State, among others.
Adams had a huge junior season, catching 39 passes for 766 yards with eight touchdowns. With a freshman quarterback at the helm this season, Moore Southmoore couldn't duplicate that success. Adams had 33 grabs for 324 yards and three scores.
But this season Moore Southmoore coaches weren't afraid to show any college coach a full game tape of Adams, who has improved dramatically with his blocking ability.
Adams is the second wide receiver pledge for the Mean Green, joining Dallas South Oak Cliff's Fonzale Davis, who committed in July.
