RB Bryant with Three Offers

Senior running back Trevon Bryant from Menendez High School in St. Augustine, Florida ran his way to three scholarship offers this season. Menendez head coach Patrick Turner believes Bryant can play at the FBS level.

St. Augustine (Fla,) Menendez High School running back Trevon Bryant scored often this season accounting for 25 rushing touchdowns. The 5-foot-8 and 180-pound back's production on the field has earned him three scholarship offers off the field.

"Trevon currently has three offers from New Hampshire, Jacksonville and Weber State," said Menendez head coach Patrick Turner. "He has also been hearing from Charleston Southern and The Citadel."

Bryant shouldered most of the load in a run heavy attack for Menendez racking up 1,760 yards while showing durability for a small back, carrying the ball 203 times without a single fumble. Bryant also demonstrated versatility out of the backfield catching 8 passes for 53 yards.

While Bryant maybe overlooked from a recruiting standpoint because of his diminutive stature, his coach certainly believes in his ability and his intangibles.

"He is the best player I have ever coached. You take the football out of it and he is the best person in our program," continued Coach Turner. "He is just the best kid to coach I‘ve had. Pound for pound he is the strongest kid in our program he benches over 300 pounds. He is an explosive kid, I think if somebody took a chance on him he could play at a mid-major, the Sunbelt or Conference USA."

Bryant, who has been timed at 4.42 in the 40-yard dash according to Coach Turner, also returns kicks which should also help draw more interest his way. For the season the powerful yet fast senior totaled over 350 yards on kick returns.

"He has good balance, is shifty and fast but he also runs with power to go with it," said Coach Turner.
