Vancouver (Wash.) Evergreen 2015 athlete Kobey Eaton made the move from quarterback to receiver and it’s paying off handsomely for him.
“When our new coach came, I was playing quarterback, but now I’m playing receiver and safety and it’s looking better for me,” said Eaton. “At the next level, I think I’ll be playing receiver or safety.”
Eaton said receiver is his preference.
“I feel more explosive at receiver,” said Eaton. “I just started playing safety and I’m pretty good at it. I think with this whole offseason, I’ll be 100 times better.”
Eaton said a couple of Pac-12 schools are showing early interest in him.
“Washington and Oregon State are showing interest in me,” said Eaton. “I also really like Arizona and Cal.”
Eaton said he plans to keep himself busy with camps in the offseason.
“I’m just trying to show my talent wherever I can,” said Eaton. “I’ll be going to as many camps as possible, trying to get exposure.”
Academically, Eaton has a 3.8 and will take the SAT in the spring.
