A look at the games that the Scout Recruiting Team out West will be hitting this weekend...

FRIDAY

Scottsdale (Ariz.) Saguaro vs. Gilbert (Ariz.) Queen Creek at 1 p.m. in Tucson at Arizona Stadium
Queen Creek returns to the division-three state title game for second year in a row and is healthy at the right time. They battled through injuries to their top two running backs, Matt Guida who is committed to Air Force and junior Weston Barlow, to secure their spot in the title game with an upset win over number one seed Williams Field. Their ground game will be vital in keeping Saguaro's potent offense off the field. Saguaro scored 77 points in their semi-final win over Desert Edge. Quarterback Luke Rubenzer has been on fire. he hasn't thrown an interception since week one and threw for over 500 yards and nine touchdowns last week. His main weapons are top 50 junior Christian Kirk and senior wide receiver J.T. Nettleton.   (@jason247scout)

Scottsdale (Ariz.) Chaparral vs. Tucson (Ariz.) Salpointe Catholic at 6 p.m. in Tucson at Arizona Stadium
If you want to see division-one caliber athletes, this is the game to go to. Salpointe is the number one seed and rightfully so, they have yet to be challenged this year. Their offense is led by a pair of Arizona commits, Cameron Denson and Kaelin Deboskie. Big offensive tackle Breeon Auzenne holds multiple offers and junior linebacker Taylor Powell is a division-one prospect. The local Arizona fans will get a chance to see three Wildcat commitments when you add in Chaparral tight end Trevor Wood. The Firebirds have multiple division-one athletes themselves led by Wood, Arizona State commit Tyler Whiley, linebacker Joe Nauert and four-star junior offensive tackle Keenan Walker. Lompoc (Calif.) at West Hills (Calif.) Chaminade at 7 p.m.
Lompoc is led by talented defensive line prospect Ainuu Taua, one of the top tackle prospects in the region. Taua is very strong, quick off the ball and has violent hands. The Braves can run the football have three backs with over 800 yards led by junior Derrick Portis. Portis has rushed 1,456 yards and 21 touchdowns this season and will be one of the fastest players on the field. A.J. Florez has rushed for 1,381 yards and 19 touchdowns and junior Austin Hayes might have the most upside in the group rushing for 846 yards and 13 touchdowns while averaging over 12 yards a carry. Chaminade has a balanced offense with star power all over. Quarterback Brad Kaaya is a Miami commit and one of the top five signal callers in the region. Donovan Lee is a dynamic play maker at running back, receiver and corner and his sophomore brother Dymond Lee already has an offer from Miami. Junior left tackle Bar Milo is a 2015 Scout 300 member with offers from California, Miami, Nebraska and Washington and safety Jojo McIntosh is a UCLA commit and one of the top defensive backs in the state. SATURDAY

Canby (Ore.) vs. Portland (Ore.) Jesuit at Jeld-Wen Field at 12 p.m.
Canby snuck into the playoffs, going in at 4-5, but has caught fire, winning three straight to advance to the 6A semifinals.  Jesuit, at 10-2, though, expected to be here.  Their only losses this season were to unbeaten Central Catholic, the top seed in the 6A playoffs and to Camas, the No. 1 4A team in Washington.  Both teams lost their emotional leaders to injuries, Canby losing Sam Bodine, their linebacker-fullback in September to a broken leg and then Jesuit losing Joey Alfieri, their workhouse running back and four-star linebacker (and Stanford commit) last month to a knee injury, sidelining him for the season.  The difference is Jesuit has more depth and talent.  The Crusaders have Henry Mondeaux, the versatile two-way jumbo athlete who committed to Oregon earlier this week as well as Christian Martinek, a tight end/defensive end who's headed to Oregon State to play baseball but would have had plenty of offers for football had he chosen that route.  Jesuit also boasts junior running back Chase Morrison, who's been stellar in stepping in for Alfieri. Tigard (Ore.) vs. Portland (Ore.) Central Catholic at Jeld-Wen Field at 4 p.m.
Tigard has Montana commit A.J. Hotchkins leading the way at both running back and linebacker and also features safety Manu Rasmussen and quarterback Jett Even, who was the QB MVP at the Oregon NFTC.  Central Catholic features a pair of Pac-12 commits in Arizona State-bound Connor Humphreys, who's primary spot is on the defensive line but also plays offensive line for the Rams as well as Oregon State commit Ryan Nall, who plays both running back and linebacker.  Junior running back Cameron Scarlett has been a star as a returner this year and quarterback Aidan Wilder, who has FCS offers, has flawlessly led the Rams offense. Chandler (Ariz.) Hamilton vs. Phoenix (Ariz.) Mountain Pointe at 3:30 p.m. in Glendale at University of Phoenix Stadium
This is a rematch of last year's state championship game, one in which Hamilton was the victor. Expect to see two great running games. Hamilton has massive offensive line with five-star tackle Casey Tucker manning the left tackle spot and Oregon State commit Trent Moore next to him at guard. Those two will battle Mountain Pointe's four-star prospect natrell Curtis, who is committed to Washington. Curtis starts both ways, as do handful of the Pride's top players including Oregon commit Jalen Brown and running back/linebacker Wesley Payne. (@jason247scout)
