Rank (Last)

Team (Record) City, ST

1 (1)
Booker T Washington Logo
Washington (13-0) Miami, FL

Cocoa was 12-1 coming into the game last week with Washington; they left a humbled 12-2. Cocoa is a good football team and program, but they were no match for the Tornadoes. Next up for Washington? Perennial Jacksonville power Bolles.

Last: Def Cocoa 49-10
Next: 12/7 Bolles (10-3)
2 (2)
Allen Logo
Allen (13-0) Allen, TX

The Woodlands should almost consider it a moral victory that they scored three touchdowns and kept the game within 35. Not many have this year against Allen. The 5A quarterfinals brings another undefeated to Allen. Westfield is going to be a huge test for the Eagles, but the battle tested Allen squad has already dispatched of Southlake Carroll, Cedar Hill, and Coppell among others this year.

Last: Def The Woodlands 56-21
Next: 12/7 Westfield (13-0)
3 (3)
Miami Central Logo
Miami Central (11-1) Miami, FL

Heritage was undefeated before the game last week against Central, like Cocoa against Washington, the Panthers were wiped out by the Rockets. Heritage had only given up 89 points all season before running into Miami Central. The Rockets may have matched that total if they hadn't called off the dogs in the fourth.

Last: Heritage 54-3
Next
: 12/6 Mainland (12-1)
4 (4)
DeSoto Logo

DeSoto (12-0) De Soto, TX

Euless Trinity gets another shot at DeSoto after upsetting Southlake Carroll last week. DeSoto hung 61 on the Trojans in September. Trinity hasn't lost since including their big win over Carroll last week. DeSoto won much more comfortably this week after a battle with Coppell the week prior.

Last
: Def Arlington Martin 56-34
Next: 12/6 Euless Trinity (11-2)

5 (5)
De La Salle Logo
De La Salle (12-0) Concord, CA

De La Salle gets a rematch with California High School this week. I'm not sure why, the Spartans left little doubt in their 55-0 win over California on November 8th.

Last: Def Deer Valley 57-27
Next: 12/6 California (11-2)
6 (7)
Saint John Bosco Logo
St. John Bosco (13-0) Bellflower, CA

Alemany was a much better opponent than Bosco had faced the previous two weeks in the playoffs, but the results were eerily similar. The Braves line up nearly a ton across the offensive line, and they pound teams into submission, while they have speed on the edge and a 5-Star junior quarterback. Bosco gets a rematch with Mater Dei this week, and the Braves may be Southern California's best chance to knock off De La Salle in years.

Last: Def Alemany 56-14
Next: 12/7 Mater Dei (11-2)

7 (8)
Katy Logo
Katy (13-0) Katy, TX

Compared to Allen and DeSoto, Katy has had a cakewalk schedule this season, but it will get a bit tougher this week against Manvel.

Last: Def Fort Bend Elkins 56-26
Next: 12/6 Manvel (12-1)
8 (9)
Hoover Logo
Hoover (14-0) Hoover, AL

Rematches can be dangerous. Just ask Hoover who knocked off Vestavia Hills in September, and had to fight tooth and nail to knock the Rebels out of the playoffs. Hoover will face Auburn in the State Finals this week. Like the University, Auburn has been living right with their last three wins coming by only a combined 13 points.

Last: Def Vestavia Hills 31-28
Next: 12/6 Auburn (13-1)
9 (10)
Northwestern Trojans Logo Helmet
Northwestern (14-0) Rock Hill, SC

North Augusta may have been Northwestern's toughest test in a couple of months, but they were still no match for the Trojans as Northwestern won handily. Stratford won't be dispatched as easily as North Augusta was last week.

Last: Def North Augusta 49-21
Next: 12/7 Stratford (12-2)
10 (11)
Serra Logo Helmet
Serra (13-0) Gardena, CA

Serra dealt with the first of their back to back rematch games in Southern California's watered down playoff brackets, but like last time, St. Francis made Serra sweat. Serra will look to duplicate their most impressive game of the year when they beat Chaminade 36-0 on 36-0.

Last: Def St. Francis 22-14
Next: 12/7 Chaminade (11-2)
11 (14)
Archbishop Moeller Logo
Archbishop Moeller (13-1) Cincinnati, OH

Moeller got a four quarter battle out of Hilliard Davidson last week as they advanced to the State Championship against Mentor in what will be the game of the year in Ohio. Moeller won Ohio's biggest classification last year, and Mentor was denied a crack at the Fighting Crusaders when they ran out of gas against Whitmer after playing two epic games against St. Edwards and St. Ignatius.

Last: Def Hilliard Davidson 13-11
Next: 12/7 Mentor (13-1)
12 (18)
Brother Rice Helmet Logo
Brother Rice (14-0) Bloomfield Hills, MI

Brother Rice got a little more resistance from a powerful Muskegon team, but the Warriors still won their State Championship handily. Brother Rice took on the best Michigan head to offer as well as hosting Ohio power St. Ignatius this year.

Last: Def Muskegon 38-21
Next: State Champions
13 (6)
St. Joseph Regional Logo
St. Joseph Regional (8-1) Montvale, NJ

St. Joseph Regional fell to a schizophrenic 7-4 Don Bosco Prep team. The Ironmen lose three straight only to knock off Paramus Catholic, then lose to Paramus Catholic, then knock off St. Joseph Regional. The Green Knights will have a chance to end on a high note against Pope John Paul XXIII in New Jersey's Non-Public Group 3 bracket.

Last: Lost to Don Bosco Prep 28-21
Next: 12/7 Pope John Paul XXIII (10-1)
14 (19)
Mountain Pointe Logo Helmet Football
Mountain Pointe (14-0) Phoenix, AZ

Mountain Pointe played two games this week in order to take home their State Championship. Weather pushed the Semi-Final game to Monday, and Mountain Pointe took care of business in a 27-9 win over Desert Ridge before blowing out Hamilton on Saturday to claim the AIA crown.

Last: Def Hamilton 42-19
Next: State Champions
15 (15)
  Bellevue Logo
Bellevue (14-0) Bellevue, WA

Bellevue's junior varsity could win the 3A State Championship in Washington.

Last: Def Shadle Park 66-0
Next: 12/6 Eastside Catholic (11-2)
16 (16)
Oscar Smith Logo
Oscar Smith (13-0) Chesapeake, VA

Oscar Smith was on point against Forest Park, and they'll need to repeat the feat this week against Colonial Forge who is fresh off their upset win over Ocean Lakes.

Last: Def Forest Park 40-7
Next: 12/6 Colonial Forge (10-3)
17 (20)
Edna Karr Logo
Karr (11-1) New Orleans, LA

Karr moves one step closer to the State Championship with a convincing win over Franklinton. Karr should be able to handle Landry Walker this week and will get a battle from the winner of Neville/East Jefferson game.

Last: Def Franklinton 26-0
Next: 12/6 Landry Walker (11-1)
18 (21)
John Curtis Christian Logo
John Curtis (9-2) River Ridge, LA

Curtis has had an easy run through the playoffs in the Division II bracket, but they'll have to work to claim another State Championship this weekend against a good University Lab team who likewise has cruised through the playoffs.

Last: Def Evangel Christian 40-6
Next: 12/12 University Lab (14-0)
19 (22)
Punahou Football Helmet Logo
Punahou (11-0) Honolulu, HI

Punahou won a hard fought game against Mililani earlier this year, and they repeated the feat in a thrilling 28-22 State Championship game. Punahou had one of the best defenses I saw all season.

Last: Def Mililani 28-22
Next: State Champions
20 (23)
Folsom Football Helmet Logo
Folsom (13-0) Folsom, CA

Folsom got a much tougher game than anyone was expecting against Jesuit, but the Bulldogs pulled out a win. They might have been looking forward to their regional championship game with a good Oak Ridge team this week.

Last: Def Jesuit 42-35
Next: 12/7 Oak Ridge (12-1)
21 (28)
Jenks Football Helmet Logo
Jenks (12-0) Jenks, OK

Westmoore had already been trounced by Jenks once this year, and the second time wasn't any more fortuitous. Now it's Union's turn to get another crack at the Trojans. Jenks beat Union 27-23 in September, and the rematch should be another close game.

Last: Def Westmoore 46-14
Next: 12/7 Tulsa Union (11-2)
22 (29)
Blue Springs Football Logo Helmet
Blue Springs (14-0) Blue Springs, MO

Rock Bridge fell to the mighty Blue Springs Wildcats just like everyone before them. Blue Springs trounced the competition in Missouri this year with no one playing the Wildcats within 17 points this year.

Last: Def Rock Bridge 35-14
Next: State Champions
23 (37)
Mentor Football Logo
Mentor (13-1) Mentor, OH

Mentor pulled off a rare double double; the Cardinals knocked out St. Ignatius and St. Edward in back to back weeks, in back to back years. Mentor needed everything they had last year to pull off the feat last year and fell to Whitmer in the Semi-Finals. This Mentor team is better prepared to deal with another powerful team in Archbishop Moeller.

Last: Def No. 38 St. Edward 41-38
Next: 12/7 Archbishop Moeller (13-1)

24 (24)
Colerain Logo
Colerain (12-1) Cincinnati, OH

I can't imagine Colerain has too many good things to say about Archbishop Moeller who ended the Cardinals' season. There's mutual respect there of course, but frustration as well.  Colerain faces a rebuilding year next year losing a solid nucleus of seniors, but the Cardinals always find a way to re-load.

Last: Lost to Archbishop Moeller 35-26
Next: Season Over
25 (13)
Miramar Logo
Miramar (12-1) Miramar, FL

Miramar suffered a let down after trouncing undefeated Deerfield Beach the week before getting bounced by Palm Beach Gardens. Miramar had big wins in 2013 against St. Thomas Aquinas, Deerfield Beach, and Plantation among others.

Last: Lost to Palm Beach Gardens 12-10
Next: Season Over

26 (25)
Coppell Logo
Coppell (9-2) Coppell, TX

Coppell's season ended at the hands of No. 4 DeSoto in a thriller. Coppell's only two losses of the year came to No. 4 DeSoto and No. 2 Allen.

Last: Lost to No. 4 DeSoto 34-30
Next: Season Over
27 (26)
Aledo Logo
Aledo (13-0) Aledo, TX

The biggest battle Aledo has faced this year is wondering whose schedule is weaker, Aledo's or Bellevue's. To this point, Aledo's has been worse, but they'll get a couple of tougher games before they're inevitably crowned State Champs in 4A D2.

Last: Def Canyon 54-14
Next: 12/6 Wichita Falls (8-5)
28 (31)
Salpointe Catholic Helmet Logo
Salpointe Catholic (14-0) Tucson, AZ

Like Mountain Pointe, Salpointe Catholic played two playoff games last week in order to claim their State Championship. The Lancers walloped Deer Valley 55-7 on Monday before hammering a good Chaparral team 46-20 in the Championship Game. Salpointe Catholic dominated their schedule like few others. The Lancers broke 40 points in every game and only two teams broke into double digits against their defense.

Last: Def Chaparral 46-20
Next: State Champions
29 (33)
Apopka Football Helmet Logo
Apopka (12-1) Apopka, FL

After getting a scare against Winter Park two weeks ago, Apopka took care of a good First Coast team without much drama. In order to win 8A in Florida teams eventually have to deal with Plant. Apopka gets them in the Semi-Finals this week.

Last: Def First Coast 42-20
Next: 12/6 Plant (11-1-1)
30 (32)
Dematha Logo
DeMatha (11-1) Hyattsville, MD

DeMatha is the first in the clubhouse with a Championship as the Stags claimed  a DC Championship with a convincing win over St. John's. DeMatha's 11-1 record included good wins over Phoebus (VA), Godby (FL), and Good Counsel (DC) among others.

Last: Def St. John's 31-10
Next: DC Champions
31 (35)
Manatee logo
Manatee (11-1) Bradenton, FL

Manatee lost their starting quarterback in the first quarter against a good Fort Pierce Central team, and that spelled doom against a team as good as the Cobras.

Last: Lost to Fort Pierce Central 17-15
Next: Season Over
32 (39)
Mallard Creek Logo
Mallard Creek (14-0) Charlotte, NC

Mallard Creek had a dominating performance over a good Northwest Guilford team. One famous Charlotte resident said "In order to be the man, you gotta beat the man." In this case, Mallard Creek will have to beat Butler again. The Mavericks knocked off Butler 20-7, but that was in August.

Last: Def Northwest Guilford 56-13
Next: 12/6 Butler (11-3)
33 (NR)
Dwyer Logo
Dwyer (13-0) Palm Beach Gardens, FL

Dwyer had been relatively untested this year en route to a 12-0 record, but that changed when they faced off with No. 42 Aquinas last week. The Panthers still came out on top and will face an even stiffer challenge in undefeated East Lake this week.

Last: Def No. 42 St. Thomas Aquinas 36-28
Next: 12/6 East Lake (13-0)
34 (43)
Paramus Catholic Helmet Logo
Paramus Catholic (8-2) Paramus, NJ

Paramus Catholic's revenge win over Don Bosco Prep two weeks ago looks even more impressive now that the Ironmen have knocked St. Jospeph Regional from the ranks of the unbeaten. The Paladins have their work cut out for them this week against St. Peter's Prep in the Non-Public Group 4 Championship.

Last: Idle
Next: 12/6 St. Peter's Prep (10-1)
35 (44)
Bingham Miners Football
Bingham (14-0) South Jordan, UT

Bingham beat Brighton 38-37 earlier this year, but there was no doubt left after the rematch in the State Championship game. Bingham drilled Brighton to cap off a perfect 14-0 record. Bingham's perfect season included two wins over Brighton and a 24-21 win over Valor Christian (Colo.). No one played the Miners within three touchdowns in the playoffs as Bingham dominated.

Last: Def Brighton 38-13
Next: State Champions
36 (45)
North Gwinnett Logo
North Gwinnett (12-1) Suwanee, GA

North Gwinnett's favorite movie this playoff season has to be The Road Warrior. The Bulldogs have played all three of their playoff games on the road, and they'll get another one this week against a surging McEachern team that is loaded with talented underclassmen.

Last: Def Hillgrove 35-21
Next: 12/6 McEachern (11-2)

37 (46)
Spanish Fort Football Logo
Spanish Fort (14-0) Spanish Fort, AL

Spanish Fort got their toughest game to date against Saraland, but that will seem like a walk in the park compared to their Super Six opponent Muscle Shoals for the State Championship this week.

Last: Def Saraland 24-14
Next: 12/5 Muscle Shoals (12-1-1)
38 (38)
St. Edward Logo
St. Edward (12-2) Lakewood, OH

St. Edward fell to Mentor in consecutive seasons. The two epic games had a combined score of 98-94 with Mentor coming out on top both times. St. Edward had some big wins this season including Archbishop Moeller, Glenville, and Eastern Christian Football Academy of Maryland.

Last: Lost to No. 37 Mentor 41-38
Next: Season Over
39 (48)
Pittsburgh Central Catholic Logo
Central Catholic (14-0) Pittsburgh, PA

McDowell had been blown out so many times this year that they were probably numb to the beating Central Catholic put on them. The Vikings opponent this week, Lower Dauphin will not roll over so easily.

Last: Def McDowell 50-7
Next: 12/6 Lower Dauphin (14-1)
40 (12)
Byrnes Logo
Byrnes (12-2) Duncan, SC

Like Miramar, Byrnes is another team that had a letdown at the wrong time the week after their most impressive win of the season. Dutch Fork entered the playoffs after a loss to North Augusta, but have reeled off three straight wins including ending Byrnes season.

Last: Lost to Dutch Fork 31-21
Next: Season Over
41 (49)
Maryville Logo
Maryville (13-0) Maryville, TN

Maryville showed they were capable of winning the tough ones too. After crushing an overmatched schedule, Maryville won a war with Blackman. On paper, it looks like Maryville won the State Championship last week against Blackman, but they'll still have to win it on the field against Hendersonville this week.

Last: Def Blackman 28-16
Next: 12/7 Hendersonville (11-3)
42 (NR)
Euless Trinity Logo
Trinity (11-2) Euless, TX

The Trojans started the season 0-2 with losses against two teams in the Scout Top 50, Jenks (Okla.) and DeSoto. Trinity hasn't lost since, including a knockout win over No. 30 Southlake Carroll last week. Trinity was handled pretty easily by DeSoto early in the season to the tune of 61-35, but the Trojans get another crack at it this week.

Last: Def No. 30 Carroll 42-38
Next: 12/7 No. 4 DeSoto (13-0)
43 (NR)
Vista Murrieta Logo
Vista Murrieta (12-1) Murrieta, CA

If we keep the Broncos away from Cathedral of San Diego, they're virtually unbeatable. Vista Murrieta ran roughshod over Norco last week behind former Norco 3-year starter at quarterback Coltin Gerhart. The defense will have to step it up a notch this week against Corona Centennial. The Huskies put up 86 points last week in their regional Semi-Final.

Last: Def Norco 56-19
Next: 12/6 @ Centennial (11-2)
44 (NR)
Destrehan Football Logo
Destrehan (13-0) Destrehan, LA

The Wildcats moved to 13-0 after shutting down Dutchtown in the quarterfinals. Destrehan has played a smothering defense all season as they've given up only seven points in three playoff games to date. Destrehan faces their toughest test to date at Acadiana this week.

Last: Def Dutchtown 23-7
Next: 12/6 @ Acadiana (12-1)
45 (NR)
Mater Dei Logo
Mater Dei (11-2) Santa Ana, CA

Mater Dei finds themselves back in the Top 50 after being bounced late in the regular season with two consecutive losses to Santa Margarita and St. John Bosco. The Monarchs have since found their identity on offense, and it's power football. Mater Dei knocked No. 40 Long Beach Poly out of the playoffs and out of the Top 50 with a convincing 30-0 win setting up a rematch with No. 6 St. John Bosco.

Last: Def No. 40 Long Beach Poly 30-0
Next: 12/7 No. 6 St. John Bosco (13-0)
46 (NR)
Griffin Football Logo
Griffin (13-0) Griffin, GA

The Bears had rolled through their playoff bracket blowing out Rutland and Statesboro. Even undefeated Griffin was a solid underdog to No. 36 Sandy Creek. The Bears did what they've done all season, win. Griffin can't afford to look to the State Championship, but after knocking off Sandy Creek last week, Wayne County should be an easier game.

Last: Def No. 36 Sandy Creek 32-26
Next: 12/6 Wayne County (12-2)
47 (NR)
Valor Christian Logo
Valor Christian (13-1) Highlands Ranch, CO

Valor Christian won another State Championship in Colorado, and the Eagles rolled through the playoffs. Valor Christian knocked off No. 1 seed Fairview 56-16. Valor Christian's only loss on the year came to Utah State Champion Bingham in a 24-21 thriller on September 7th. The Eagles also took on Fresno Central to open the season and beat the Grizzlies convincingly 31-7.

Last: Def Fairview 56-16
Next: State Champions
48 (NR)
Centreville Football Logo
Centreville (13-0) Clifton, VA

The Wildcats have won some shootouts in the playoffs to push their record to 13-0 including last week's 52-27 win over Stonewall Jackson. Centreville must take on Westfield this week, and if everyone takes care of business, the showdown next week will be against Oscar Smith for all the marbles.

Last: Def Stonewall Jackson 52-27
Next: 12/6 Westfield (11-2)
49 (NR)
Kimberly Football Logo
Kimberly (14-0) Kimberly, WI

With a name like Kimberly and a mascot like the Papermakers, this team had to be tough to survive. The Papermakers became State Championship takers with their 51-10 demolition of Oshkosh North in the State Championship two weeks ago. Kimberly was powerful on both sides of the ball averaging 40 points in the playoffs. The Papermakers held 10 opponents to 10 points are less including four of five in the playoffs.

Last: Def Oshkosh North 51-10
Next: State Champions
50 (50)
Hilliard Davidson Helmet Logo
Hilliard Davidson (13-1) Hilliard, OH

Hilliard Davidson fell valiantly to Archbishop Moeller in a 13-11 Semi-Final loss. It was the only defeat of the season for the Wildcats who beat the likes of Wayne, Pickerington North, and Dublin Coffman among others.

Last: Lost to Archbishop Moeller 13-11
Next: Season Over

In: Dwyer (FL), Griffin (GA), Mater Dei (CA), Destrehan (LA), Vista Murrieta (CA), Trinity (TX), Centreville (VA), Valor Christian (CO), Kimberly (WI)

Out: St. Thomas Aquinas (FL), Sandy Creek (GA), Long Beach Poly (CA), Collins Hill (GA), St. Augustine (LA), Carroll (TX), Ocean Lakes (VA), Muskegon (MI), Lamar (TX)
