Dakota Laws, a 6-foot-4, 285-pound offensive lineman from Denton (Texas) Ryan is used to blocking against some of the state's best defensive linemen under the Friday night lights.
Playing left tackle in a tough district he is matching up with a division one type defensive ends.
He also gets the chance to go up against elite players like Sekou Clark and J.T. Williams in practice every day.

"It prepares me for taking on this guys who are division one recruits," Laws said. "It helps me get better."
Laws has leaned on the advice of former teammate Matt Griffin, who played left tackle for the Raiders as a senior in 2012.
"He says be physical and keep pushing," Laws informed.
"I leave everything on the field. I play hard all of the time. I looked up to Matt last year, because he was a three-year starter and he kind of coached me on how to get better."
On the recruiting front, Laws is looking for his first scholarship offer, but is hearing from BCS level schools.
"Well I get letters from a lot of schools around Texas," Laws reported.
"I would say I get the most from TCU, Baylor and OU (Oklahoma). I would like to hear more from Texas."
This weekend Ryan will square off against Cedar Hill (Texas) High in the Regional Finals.
