South Lake (Mich.) junior offensive lineman Kyonta Stallworth talks about his commitment to Michigan State, a move that was not a big surprise, but one he made official this weekend after seeing the Spartans bring home a Big Ten title.

Kyonta Stallworth has essentially been committed to Michigan State for months, but on Saturday night, shortly after watching the Spartans defeat Ohio State and win the Big Ten title, the 6-foot-4, 285-pound offensive lineman made it official.

"Well I feel good about it," he said. "I think everyone knew I was going to be attending Michgian State, even the coaching staff, but I wanted to make an announcement so everyone else would know where I'll be attending school in 2015. It's a good decision for me and I feel comfortable there. It's just like another home up there."

Stallworth spoke to members of the staff just hours after their victory in Indianapolis.

"Talked to Coach Staten [Saturday night] and I talked to Coach Blackwell [Saturday night]. I didn't have a chance to talk to Coach Dantonio. I talked to Coach Samuel about 40 minutes ago and he said he was coming to my school [on Monday]. They were happy. They told me welcome aboard and want me to come up there and watch a practice for the bowl game."

Stallworth held other offers from Tennessee, Florida and UCLA. He is currently rated as a four-star prospect by Scout, but as a guard. After what he did on the other side of the ball this year, he believes he could play there for MSU as well.

"You know, I could probably be on offense or defense. This year I really didn't play as much as I should have because of a groin injury that affected me, but I had a good year on defense. I had 68-70 tackles and six sacks. On offense I played good too, but I told them I'll play wherever, offense or defense as long as I get on the field."

Now that he is committed, Stallworth's top priority is still recruiting, not his own recruitment, but getting other top in-state prospects to join him.

"Some of my top targets, first, Tyriq Thompson from King. I talked to him today. He's a heck of a player. I'd love to get him up there with me so we can have a good time. Mike Weber, he's another good player, a humble person and John Kelly, I talked to him about two or three weeks ago. He's a really good player. Brian Cole, I think he's going to commit to Michigan State, he's just taking time his time. Him and Tyriq, I think they're just waiting. I'd like for Michigan State to offer David Moorman. He's a heck of a player too, so if get him on the line too, we could do some things."

Watching Saturday's game, Stallworth couldn't help but think about his future and the exciting things that lay ahead for him in East Lansing.

"I was going through the game, talking to my dad and I told him I want to make it official and told him I know the school I want to go to and he told me do what I have to do. I was watching game saying it's a blessing to have a scholarship to this school competing for the Rose Bowl."

Stallworth is the third prospect to commit to Michigan State in the 2015 class, all three are from the state of Michigan.
