On Monday, Chicago Simeon senior Denzel Ward decommitted from Purdue. By Tuesday afternoon, one of the Boilermakers' Big Ten foes had already jumped into his recruitment.
"Nebraska officially offered," he said.
The 6-foot-8, 290-pound Ward was once committed to Michigan, but decommitted after an offer from Florida came. He committed to Purdue in June before re-opening his recruitment this week.
He spent his junior year, his first season of football, at Chicago Hales Franciscan before transferring to IMG Academy in Florida during the spring. He returned to the Windy City before the start of his senior season to enroll at Simeon.
Ward now has an official visit set to Nebraska for January 24th. He had an official planned to Oklahoma but has now cancelled that visit.
He already took an official visit to South Florida and has one set with Syracuse.
