Berger Ready to be a Bobcat
Six-foot-4, 220 pound senior Kent Berger has finished off his final high school season. The Mentor (Ohio) defensive end says he couldn't have gone out on a higher note. "It was great. I couldn't have asked for a better year," said Berger. "It took me a few weeks to get used to being double-teamed, but I felt like I got better week by week as the year went on. I especially worked on being more violent with my hands and splitting double teams," said Berger. The senior committed to Ohio in May and says his relationship with the staff couldn't be better. "It's been great. We have stayed in contact all year and I'm excited to move on the next level next year," said Berger. Most of the future Bobcats took their official visits when Berger was playing in the State Championship game, so he plans on making his way to campus for his in late January or early February. In the meantime, Berger is just looking forward to being a Bobcat. "All of the commits have been contacting each other through twitter and I met a few on the field this year too. I'm just ready to go to college and build a lifelong bond with my teammates," said Berger. Stay with Scout for the latest on the Class of 2014.
