Cincinnati Sycamore junior linebacker Jay Cobbs is coming off an impressive season, and college recruiters have started showing interest. Scout.com has more on this prospect.

Jay Cobbs recently completed an impressive season at Cincinnati Sycamore, and the junior middle linebacker is a 2015 prospect to watch in Ohio.

Cobbs, 5-foot-11, 220-pounds, had 75 tackles, including 6.5 sacks on the season. He also forced three fumbles, and recovered two.

"I had a good year and made a lot of plays for my team," Cobbs stated. "I can run to the football, and I'm a good tackler. I want to improve my speed for next year, so I can run sideline to sideline better."

Although he holds no offers, Cobbs is starting to receive recruiting attention.

"I'm hearing from both Akron and Toledo right now, but neither has offered," he explained. "I'm hoping to see interest pick up as my film gets out there."

Cobbs made second team All-conference last season, his first as a varsity starter.
