There are several terrific
linebackers from the West in this game, but the Semper Fi also brings in the top
two middle linebackers in the region in the game. They're different types of
players, Los Angeles (Calif.) Salesian's Jamardre Cobb a more versatile backer,
who can play inside or outside, and he's the better athlete, the top-ranked MLB
in the West and headed to Arizona. But Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco
four-star middle linebacker Chandler Leniu, a Washington State commit, is right
behind him regionally, and he may be the best pure middle backer in the West,
racking up 200+ tackles this season for the best football team in the West.
Who will be number one when it's all said and done?
By: Brian Dohn- National Analyst, East
Is Adonis Jennings better than Saeed Blacknall at receiver? Blacknall is bigger and faster and ranked higher, but Jennings is coming off a big senior season and improved dramatically over the last year.

Will the state of Florida represent this week? There are 15 prospects from the Sunshine State on the rosters and many talk about Florida as one of the top states for recruiting across the country. Will is be shown during this event? There is a good mix of skill guys and big linemen, so we will see if they show why many from coast to coast talk about the state of Florida among the elite in recruiting.

Three of the top five quarterbacks in the state will all compete in this game. West Hills (Calif.) Chaminade’s Brad Kaaya, Novato (Calif.) San Marin’s Manny Wilkins and San Jose (Calif.) Bellarmine’s K.J. Carta-Samuels all bring a different and unique skill set to the table but all are talented. Kaaya is the most polished, Wilkins is the most mobile and Carta-Samuels has the strongest arm.

The top uncommitted player in the game from the Midlands is Jenks safety Steven Parker. Parker has been a player who has been quiet about his recruitment and talking about any favorites. He has already taken official visits to Arkansas and Texas A&M and has trips to Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Ole Miss possibly lined up for January. He has reporters playing the guessing game on where he may end up, but may be more apt to talk recruiting now that his state championship season has concluded.

I think one of the
storylines is which quarterback is ‘the’ guy? There are several very good signal
callers like Brad Kaaya (West Hills, Calif./Chaminade
College Prep), K.J. Carta-Samuels (San Jose, Calif./Bellarmine College Prep), Clayton Thorson (Wheaton, Ill./North), Quentin Gibson (Marerro, La./Archbishop Shaw), and J.J. Cosentino (Pittsburgh, Pa./Central Catholic). These guys are all talented. Who will emerge as the top quarterback from this event?.

It wasn't that long ago that I covered games that were considered the 3rd most prestigious game behind the Army and Under Armour Bowl games. The NUC All-Star game had quarterbacks Johnny Manziel and Marcus Mariota. The Offense Defense Bowl game had Geno Smith and Zack Mettenberger on the same team. The Semper Fi Bowl Game has a talented list of quarterbacks including J.J. Cosentino, Manny Wilkins, Brad Kaaya, K.J. Carta-Samuels, and Zack Darlington. Could one of those players end up the Class' top quarterback?
