Scout.com four-star wide receiver Kd Cannon is an excellent prospect. He could be a versatile player who could play outside or inside receiver in college, depending on the situation.
But ask him and he prefers to be outside making big plays.
“On the next level I feel like I will fit in at outside receiver,” Cannon explained. “Slot is not really my game. I would rather play outside. I like playing outside because it is just you and the corner usually and if I can beat him it is a touchdown.”
“I look up to A.J. Green. We are kind of about the same. He can go over the top, he is a good route runner and he can play outside.”
It seems like every time you turn around someone is speculating that Cannon will switch his commitment or will be committing from BU.
“It gets kind of frustrating because they are always asking me and him if we are going to switch and all that stuff,” Cannon said. “You know Baylor is a program on the rise, so they think we should go somewhere better. They do not know Baylor.”
Cannon is hopeful he can make an immediate impact in Waco.
“I am going bring some playmaking ability and since TReese (Tevin Reese) left and I will be able to come in and they will have another speed guy” Cannon stated. “Hopefully I will start.”
He’s also excited about the new facilities.
“The new stadium will be real nice. They will have a little bridge going over the water. It’s going to be nice.”
