Rudolph chooses the 'Noles

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Four-star wide receiver Travis Rudolph of West Palm Beach (Fla.) Cardinal Newman has announced his commitment to Florida State over finalist Alabama.

Shortly after catching a pass on the first play from scrimmage in the Under Armour All-America game, four-star wide receiver Travis Rudolph of West Palm Beach (Fla.) Cardinal announced in the second quarter that he'll be attending Florida State University.

Rudolph chose the Seminoles over runner-up Alabama, and other contenders Auburn, Florida and Miami.

Rudolph's last official visit was to Alabama in December. The 6-foot-1, 188-pound wide out named the Tide his leader shortly thereafter. However, Florida State resurged to the top spot in the final days of Rudolph's recruitment to keep the talented wide out in the Sunshine State.

Rudolph was nothing short of impressive throughout Under Armour practice this week, being named to Scout.com's top five offensive performers on Team Highlight for all three days of practice.

Rudolph joins fellow in-state wide receiver commit Chris Worton in Florida State's 2014 wide receiver haul.

Scout.com will have more from Rudolph shortly after the Under Armour All-America game concludes.
