Shurmur Grabs First Offer

Wyndmoor (Pa.) La Salle junior quarterback Kyle Shurmur picks up a MAC offer.

After transferring from Lakewood St. Edward in Ohio to La Salle High School in Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania, junior quarterback Kyle Shurmur put together the type of season he needed to in order to earn his first scholarship offer.

"I was offered by Central Michigan on Monday," he said.

A big, strong armed passer, the 6-foot-4, 210-pound Shurmur is also hearing from Penn State, Michigan State, Vanderbilt and others.

His father is Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur.

Shurmur passed for 1143 yards and 11 touchdowns to six interceptions as a junior.
