The college decision is in for U.S. Army All-American Nyles Morgan of Crete (Ill.) -- he is headed to Notre Dame.

Recruiting has been a long road for Crete (Ill.) five-star linebacker Nyles Morgan -- and nearly exactly a month before he will sign his letter of intent, he announced his commitment to Notre Dame.

After starting the game for the West squad, Morgan took the big stage at the U.S. Army All-American game to announce his decision on live television.

"I am headed to the University of Notre Dame," Morgan said.

Morgan is one of several Notre Dame commits that played in the Army Bowl -- including Chicago Marist tight end Nic Weishar, University School (Fla.) linebacker Richard Yeargin, and Red Bank Catholic (N.J.) offensive lineman Quenton Nelson.

Plus, he is the third commit for the Irish coming out of the Chicagoland area joining Weishar and Montini linebacker Nile Sykes who pledged to the Irish after the high school season ended in Illinois.

Stay on for more in-depth coverage of Morgan's announcement and more from San Antonio.
