The first Elite 11 Regional Quarterback Camp takes place on Sunday in Southern California...

The 2014 camp circuit gets cranking earlier than normal but it's a big one to get started with the Elite 11 Regional Quarterback Camp in Santa Monica on Sunday.

It's a loaded class of quarterbacks in the 2015 class not just in California, but nationally and the first Elite 11 Regional Camp of the year will feature the Golden State's top two passers, who also both happen to be the top two quarterbacks in the country.

In fact, five Scout 300 quarterbacks will be in Santa Monica from the 2015 class and a four-star 2016 passer will also be on hand.

Headlining the list is Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure five-star quarterback Ricky Town, who's the No. 1 ranked quarterback in the country in the 2015 class and a commit to Alabama.  Town was one of the two underclass standouts at the San Francisco Elite 11 last spring.

Joining him is Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco five-star quarterback Josh Rosen, the No. 2 ranked quarterback in the country in the 2015 class.  Rosen was the other underclass standout at the San Francisco Elite 11 last spring.  Rosen has a slew of offers, including ones from Cal, Michigan, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Texas, UCLA and USC.

We've said for months that Town and Rosen could flip-flop between 1-2 all the way up until Signing Day of 2015 and that's still likely the case.  Rosen had the better season, leading the Braves to the CIF State Open Division title and this kicks off the camp season, where both will continue to posture for the top spot.

The third Scout 300 quarterback expected in Santa Monica is Newhall (Calif.) Hart four-star Brady White, who led the Indians to the CIF-SS Northern Division title and a spot in the CIF SoCal D-II Regional.

Moreno Valley (Calif.) Rancho Verde quarterback Sheriron Jones is one of the West's top dual-threat quarterback and the four-star has offers from Arizona, Arizona State and Colorado.

Corona (Calif.) Santiago quarterback Blake Barnett is another one of the elite dual-threat quarterbacks in the region and after a big junior year, both on the ground and threw the air, the four-star chose Notre Dame over a host of offers.

Another prospect from the West committed to a Midwest school, Sandy (Utah) Jordan quarterback Austin Kafentzis, a verbal to Wisconsin, will make the trip to the coast.

A couple of other three-star prospects will be in Santa Monica too, Phoenix (Ariz.) Pinnacle's Brian Lewerke, St. George (Utah) Pineview's Kody Wilstead, Indianapolis (Ind.) Decatur Central's Tommy Stevens, Bothell (Wash.) quarterback Ross Bowers, Foothill (Calif.) Pleasanton's Kyle Kearns and Upland (Calif.) passer Tyler Hilinski.

Some of the other 2015 passers that have caught our attention over the last year that will be in Santa Monica include Fontana (Calif.) Jurupa Hills' Damion Wright, Long Beach (Calif.) Poly's Josh Love, Huntington Beach (Calif.) Edison's Matt Gane, Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman's Danny Hong and Tyrone Williams from Merced (Calif.).

Jack Lowary was the backup at Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei last fall, but impressed at a few NFTC's and Elite 11's last spring and he'll be making an appearance.  San Diego (Calif.) Westview passer Nate Ketteringham is one of the top passers in his region and after showing at the San Francisco Elite 11 last spring, he'll return to the circuit.

One of the elite 2016 quarterbacks in the region, four-star Malik Henry from Westlake (Calif.), headlines the 2016 group.  And one of the top 2016 passer from the Midwest, four-star Seth Green from Woodbury (Minn.) East Ridge, will be heading West.

Other underclassmen to keep an eye on include Danville (Calif.) San Ramon Valley's Kevin Davidson, Tre Polamalu from Los Angeles (Calif.) Loyola, Devon Modster from Las Flores (Calif.) Tesoro and Orange (Calif.) Lutheran's L.J. Northington.

Some of the out-of-regional prospects making the trek West include Oxford (Miss.) quarterback Jack Abraham, Dallas (Texas) Episcopal School passer Thomas Fitts, Kingwood Park (Texas) passer Jaylon Henderson, Independence (N.C.) quarterback Kelvin Hopkins and Suwanee Park (Ga.) Peachtree Ridge's Chance Thrasher.
