De'Amontae Jackson checks in from Citra (Fla.) North Marion high school and has generated plenty of buzz over the last 12 months. The nation's No. 7 ranked middle linebacker prospect has plenty of options and talks about his latest offer.
"My most recent offer was with Ole Miss," De'Amontae Jackson said. "I feel it's a good program and I would like to take a visit and see the school and stuff. I have stayed in touch with the Ole Miss coaches. I would like to take the visit and meet the coaching staff and the players."
Ole Miss is just one of many big time programs to extend a verbal offer at this time. This is just the beginning for the humble defensive standout.
"I have Ole Miss, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Florida State, Auburn, Alabama, Miami, Georgia, Penn State, Mississippi State, Missouri, Indiana, North Carolina State, Michigan State and South Florida," Jackson said. Lots of schools have been trying to get a hold of me and they have talked to a lot of my coaches."
There has been talk that Jackson could find himself at a number of positions at the next level but as far as college coaches are concerned they know the answer.
"Linebacker is the position that all of the schools are recruiting me for," Jackson said. "I can move pretty fast and get around pretty good. I think I am a big, physical and a fast player. I can play all over the field so I can move around a good bit."
