And while Mark Richt did his share of interviews on Signing Day, much of Georgia's efforts on the recruiting trail were a result of the effort of Bryan McClendon.
With the Bulldogs landing of Lorenzo Carter, that was the deal-sealer for McClendon.
McClendon was the lead recruiter for Sony Michel, Nick Chubb, Kendall Baker, Keyon Brown, Isaiah Wynn, Gilbert Johnson, Kendall Gant, and Shattle Fenteng.
He has played a role in others as well and was the lead recruiter for Carter, a five-star defensive end, ranked No. 5 nationally.
It was for that effort that McClendon is named as Scout.com 2014 Recruiter of the Year.
Aside from Carter and Michel, the Bulldogs signed Jeb Blazevich, the No. 4 tight end nationally and Jacob Park, the 8th ranked quarterback in the country.
National analysts Greg Biggins, Brian Dohn, Brandon Huffman, Jamie Newberg, Greg Powers, Chad Simmons and Allen Trieu contributed to this report.
