Jackson, whose parents reside in the St. Louis area, says he will make his final decision known on National Signing Day (Feb. 5).
The Serra (Calif.) High School standout is one of 14 five-star prospects on the board. He is rated by Scout as the No. 6 player nationally and the No. 3 cornerback.
Track plays a role in who gets a signed National Letter of Intent.
At the 2013 California CIF state track and field championships at Veterans Memorial Stadium in June in Clovis, Calif., Jackson leapt 24 feet, 7 1/2 inches to place second. He also ran a leg in both the the 4x100-meter relay and 4x400 for Serra teams that placed first with times of 40.49 and 3:10.59, respectively.
Scout followed the progress of the West region's top prospect as a football player as well as his recruitment from coast to coast, including seeing him compete at The Opening in Beaverton, Ore., in July and at the Under Armour All-America week in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., and St. Petersburg, Fla.
