Christian Lezzer took some time to consider the impact of his recent offer from Rutgers, but in the end his long-term decision to commit to Boston College was made for a significant reason.
Therefore, the 6-foot-1, 220-pound linebacker from Clearfield (Pa.) Area High decided to shut down the process and stay committed to the Eagles.
“I'm staying with BC because I feel extremely comfortable with the coaching staff, and the current commits,” Lezzer said. “I have a great relationship with them. I also believe that there are very few schools in the country that has what BC offers both athletically and academically. “
Lezzer received the offer from the Scarlet Knights last 10 days ago, and he paused for a moment to look at the big picture and what the offer meant.
However, after giving some consideration and thinking about is future, he elected to stay with the school he committed to in May.
“It's just my comfort level with everyone up at BC,” he said. “I have already established a great relationship with them.”
