Dew-Treadway on B1G Offer

The first Big Ten offer is in the books for Bolingbrook (Ill.) junior defensive end Micah Dew-Treadway, from Purdue.

Bolingbrook (Ill.) junior defensive end Micah Dew-Treadway had picked up an offer from Mississippi State during the summer, and just added his second -- from Purdue.

"I just received an offer from Purdue," Dew-Treadway said.

And how did he find out?

"My recruiting coach for the area, Coach Jafar Williams told me the staff saw my tape and said I was a program changer," Dew-Treadway said. "They told me that they had decided to offer me."

Even though Treadway has yet to visit, he had some idea that the Boilers might offer, it was still a very pleasant surprise.

"Rubin Carter, the defensive line coach kept hinting to me that if I were to come down for junior day that they had something special for me," Dew-Treadway said. "So even though this offer was kind of expected, I still thank god for the opportunity."

Dew-Treadway will head to Purdue on Feburary 1st to visit. And there are several things that he likes about the Boilers.

"Well Purdue is an up and coming program in the Big Ten, they have produced many players and any school that says we want you to help us win and develop our program automatically has my interest," Dew-Treadway said.
