Mitch Hyatt is going to end the recruiting process early and announce decision Wednesday night. Get the latest on the five-star offensive tackle here...

This should not come as a surprise.

Mitch Hyatt will commit to a school Wednesday night, a year in advance, and put an end to the recruiting process.

The five-star junior offensive tackle out of Suwanee (Ga.) North Gwinnett has offers from schools coast to coast, but there have always been a select few at the top of his list.

Auburn impressed him early and it was a school he liked when he visited, but Clemson has been looked at as the favorite from the beginning with Georgia and Ohio State in there as well.

His uncle Dan Benish played at Clemson early in the 80s, so the 6-foot-5, 271 pound junior has been around Death Valley quite often.

He still has family in Ohio, so Ohio State has been in the running from the get-go as well.

Georgia is where he lives now, he has visited Athens a handful of times, so the Dawgs have hung around.

It looks like Hyatt is ready put an end to the recruiting process.

"Mitch may make an announcement about his future at the senior's signing day ceremony in our commoms area Wednesday night," said North Gwinnett head coach Bob Sphire.

The word 'may' is used on because the young man could change his mind.

Coach Sphire went on to confirm that Hyatt does plan to commit to a school on Wednesday night. "Mitch will commit unless he gets cold feet, which can happen sometimes," said Sphire.

Hyatt just visited Clemson over the weekend and the Tigers are thought to be the leaders here.
