One of the nation’s top offensive line prospects for 2014 is headed to Auburn. Five-star offensive guard Braden Smith announced his decision to play for the Tigers this morning at Olathe (KS) South High School
Tiger. The 6-foot-6, 292-pound senior announced his decision this morning at a signing ceremony at Olathe (KS) South High School. After making official visits to Auburn,
, the number-one offensive guard in the class of 2014 stepped to the podium at 10:20 and committed to play for the SEC Champion Tigers.
One of the most-highly recruited players in the class of 2014, Smith’s offer list included some of the biggest names in college football. Notre Dame, Alabama, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and Texas all extended scholarships to Smith, but failed to make his top-three. The fourth five-star prospect to choose the Tigers, Smith is the highest-rated player to sign with Auburn. After playing in the National Championship game,
entered the day with a Top-10 recruiting class, including a pair of five-star prospects that will join Smith on the offensive side of the ball. Among the five-stars, Running back
is sure to benefit from having one of the nation’s top offensive line prospects to help pave the way for Malzahn’s attack.
