Sweat was No. 3 in the region prior to his junior season, but the 6-foot-4, 230-pound athlete moved up after his first season playing extensively at the varsity level. He is now the No. 12 prospect nationally, and second-ranked defensive end.
"Sweat is a long, lean athlete who really fires off the ball," Scout.com Mid-Atlantic recruiting analyst Michael Clark said. "He has tremendous quickness and very active hands. Despite weighing only 230 pounds, Sweat is deceptively strong and plays with good leverage.
"The combination of all the aforementioned things allows Sweat to completely overwhelm most offensive linemen at the high school level. Overall, Sweat may have the most upside of any prospect in the East Region."
There are 34 prospects with four stars, and one of the players to make the biggest jump is Avon (Conn.) Old Farms tight end Chris Clark. He is one of four new four-star prospects in the Region, and jumped from the N0. 14 tight end to No. 4.
"Rankings mean a lot to me because I am a competitor," Clark said. "I always want to be the best and am going to continue to work until I am the best tight end in the class of 2015. I want everyone to realize that."
Also adding a fourth star in the class is Maryland commit E.J. Donahue, an offensive tackle from Frederick (Md.) Linganore, Washington (D.C.) Gonzaga cornerback Marcus Lewis, Glassboro (N.J.) High receiver Juwan Johnson and Warminster (Pa.) Archbishop Wood offensive tackle Ryan Bates.
In addition, Kai Locksley of Baltimore's The Gilman School was previously rated as a four-star receiver, but is now a four-star quarterback.
The East members of the Scout 300 also has a quintet of committed four-star prospects in Donahue, Forestville (Md.) Bishop McNamara cornerback Ashton White (Virginia Tech), Whitehall (Pa.) High running back Saquon Barkley (Rutgers), Morgantown (W.V.) High tight end Stone Wolfley (West Virginia) and Philadelphia St. Joseph's Prep offensive guard Jon Runyan Jr. (Michigan).
