Kyle Allen

Five schools that came into Arizona and signed some talented prospects

It's the nature of the beast, not every kid is going to sign with the in-state schools. While both Arizona and Arizona State did good jobs signing players from Arizona, here are a few schools that did well in the Grand Canyon State.

1. Texas A&M - The Aggies inked the state's top quarterback/prospect in Kyle Allen from Desert Mountain and the state's top defensive player in Qualen Cunningham from Hamilton. Both were heavily sought after prospects.

2. Stanford - The Cardinal signed two of the state't top offensive linemen. Hamilton's Casey Tucker was a five-star prospect while Brophy's Austin Hall was ranked a 3-star. Defensive end Lane Veach is a prospect with a very high ceiling.

3. Oregon - Mountain Pointe wide receiver Jalen Brown was on the verge of getting a 5th star. Getting him to enroll in January is huge. I am a big fan of Jalen Jelks from Desert Vista. He signed with the Ducks as a defensive lineman but he could be a great offensive tackle.

4. Oklahoma - Four-star WR Mark Andrews from Desert Mountain was a huge get for the Sooners. Many think he projects as a TE but he will get a chance at wideout in Norman. Mountain Pointe guard Natrell Curtis flipped to Oklahoma after being committed to Washington.

5- Cal - Luke Rubenzer from Saguaro and Kamryn Bennett from Centennial didn't have the offer sheet that some of these other prospects have but I think they are both great additions to the Bear roster. Hard working, tough, gritty kids.
