Already holding an offer from Eastern Illinois, Detroit Loyola's Paul Engram added Toledo, his first FBS offer this week.
"It's very exciting," he said. "It feels like a lot of my work has paid off a little bit, so I'll keep working and keep them coming in."
Engram, a physical 6-foot-0, 195-pound junior could project to safety, rover or even outside linebacker in college, but the Rockets have not specified yet.
"Not really," he said. "They just said they wanted me. I plan on visiting them next week. I plan on going to a basketball game."
There are also programs from across the country showing additional interest.
"I've been getting mail from Michigan State, Indiana, Ball State, Oregon, Cincinnati and of course Toledo. I've been to Cincinnati and Michigan State when they played Indiana for homecoming."
He says that was a good visit when he went to East Lansing.
"It was amazing. The band was going crazy. The fans were going crazy. It was a great atmosphere."
This summer, he hopes to make the coaches go crazy when they see what he can do on the field.
"I'm trying to go to every camp that I can and I'm trying to work as hard as I can every day to get to where I want to go."
