First offer for 2015 LB

Haynesville (LA) 2015 LB Kendrick Jackson, a first-team all-state performer for the undefeated Class A state champs, secured his first offer from the New Orleans Bowl three-time defending champions in Lafayette...

Kendrick Jackson talked about getting his first offer from the Ragin' Cajuns.

"It's been about a month since I got that offer," Jackson said. "My head coach forgot to tell me that Coach (James) Willis had offered; I was on Twitter later that day and Coach (Marquase) Lovings said, 'Did your coach let you know we offered?'

"Coach Lovings came by the school since then. He talked to my head coach (David Franklin). I was like, 'man, this is reason to push myself even harder' after I got the offer. I think UL is the place to be after I visited for the New Mexico State game."

Jackson said LSU and Boise State are the two other schools showing the most love.

He will attend the Cajuns' junior day on March 22.

Haynesville's defense kept six foes in single digits during a perfect 14-0 season. Jackson accounted for 102 tackles (27 for loss).
