McLaurin and Parents Take in Junior Day
Mark McLaurin profile "I had a good time yesterday," said McLaurin. "My mother and my father went up there with me and we got to see the campus and all of the facilities. "We got to interact with a lot of the players and that was one of the best parts." McLaurin was hosted by up and coming Bulldog safety Deonte Evans. "Deonte told me a lot about what it's like to play college football and about all of the work you have to put in and things like that," said McLaurin. "I liked him a lot. He is a good guy." Evans turned McLaurin over to Bulldog safties' coach Tony Hughes for the positional meetings. "I had the chance to talk some with Coach Hughes," said McLaurin. "I had talked with him, but I got the chance to know him and the other coaches a little better. "I enjoyed talking to Coach (Dan) Mullen a lot. He told me that they really want me to be a Bulldog and that he would love for me to come up there." While the Bulldogs appear to have the inside track, McLaurin is not planning an early decision. "I like it at Mississippi State, but I am not ready to make a decision yet," said McLaurin. "I just want to take my time and just see how things go. "I still have a lot of time to think about things."
