At 6-foot-4, 220-pounds, wide receiver Daniel Imatorbhebhe is hard to miss even on a team as talented as North Gwinnett. The soon to be senior landed his first verbal offer and it was a big one.
"I'm speaking mostly with coach Hutzler and coach [Derek] Lewis," Imatorbhebhe said. "I still have a good relationship with coach [Mike] Summers from when he was at SC. When they offered I was real excited, I remember when I was young watching Florida basketball and football dominate and dreaming of being able to do the same thing there."
At 6-foot-4, 220-pounds most teams, including Florida are looking at Imatorbhebhe as a hybrid type Y position in the slot or attached. Imatorbhebhe has yet to step foot on campus but knows all about the Gators with a little help from his best friend.
"Yeah I have a lot of interest in Florida they are probably #1 right now," Imatorbhebhe said. "God- Willing I'm going down there for spring practice. My best friend and teammate Almonzo Brown, who they also offered, his Dad played for coach [Steve] Spurrier there back in the day and he's always telling us what a great place It is."
Imatorbhebhe talked about the Florida coaches and his perception of the program.
"My impression is I know it's a program predicted on the importance of hard work, Imatorbhebhe said. "They are working to come back to reigning over the SEC. Moving forward I'll be praying that God will show me the school he wants me to go to. I don't want just choose a path and ask God to bless it, but I want God to choose the path and I want to follow."
