That happened Tuesday and there was still big news to come that day. Kentucky offered not too long after the Gamecocks.
Nygel Edmonds was excited about his first two offers, but another school brought a smile to his face less than 24 hours later.
Ole Miss delivered the news on Wednesday.
This is something Edmonds did not see coming.
"I am very surprised right now," said Edmonds. "It is a great feeling to get the offers and I feel blessed. I am thankful that these schools are offering me this opportunity and it is just going to push me to work even harder."
Edmonds, a 6-foot sophomore cornerback has already talked to coaches from all three schools and they all delivered the same type of message.
"Each coach basically said the same things to me. They all talked to me about the offer, congratulated me, and then talked to me about their school. They also invited me to their Junior Days and their camps."
Each school is now on his list and he is already researching the three schools to find out more about them.
He is excited to see and learn more about Kentucky, Ole Miss, and South Carolina.
"All three are great schools," said Edmonds. "It is a great feeling to get the offers and hopefully it continues.
"It is very early, so nobody is ahead of anyone else on my list right now. I still look at everyone equally."
The star out of Atlanta (Ga.) Westminster is hearing a lot from schools like Boston College, Georgia, Georgia Tech, and Tennessee too. Offer four may arrive soon, so stay tuned to Scout for the latest.
