It doesn't take long watching his film to see how explosive he will be on the next level. Lewis is what you term a sideline-to-sideline player because of his speed and pursuit to the ball. His first step allows him to beat the opposition to the quarterback when they blitz him.
The 6' 2", 220-pound outside linebacker has good bend and flexibility in his hips to allow him to stop and go east and west in a hurry. That is critical for any defender and especially for ones that have to play in the open space frequently. Another thing that stands out to us is just how much Lewis loves contact. He brings the wood on each play but has good technique to wrap up the tackler which prevents injuries.
There isn't much to dislike about this young man out of Brookhaven. He will need to continue to get stronger and bigger for the next level but all of the tools are there.
Lewis was a first team 5A All-State selection after collecting 100 tackles, five
sacks, four caused fumbles, seven QB hurries and one interception on the season.
