Decatur Central sophomore Trent Maynard is off to a fast start in his recruitment as Cincinnati has offered and he has a lot of schools looking his way.
One of those programs is Iowa, who had the 6-foot-5, 280-pound offensive tackle up for their junior day.
"It was really great. We got to talk to the coaching staff a lot, had individual meetings with our positions, and it seems like they have one of best offensive lines in the country there and they really [focus] on being able to be versatile and being aggressive."
Maynard also keeps in close contact with Cincinnati, as they were the first to extend a scholarship to him.
"Coach Rolen has been in. He's my recruiting coordinator there and he's been in checking on me and Tommy a little bit. I call him every week or two just to keep touching base with him."
As for more offers potentially coming, Maynard says, "most colleges I've been to want me to camp. Notre Dame just invited me to one of their camps in the summer."
Maynard says he does not have any college camps planned right now and is unsure of which he will attend.
