"I met Coach Juluke before signing day because one of our players was supposed to go there," Parks said. "Then I talked with the defensive coordinator, Coach Diaz, who said he was going to take a look at my highlights.
"Coach Diaz, at the time, said they were on vacation so three days later, he let me know he'd watched my film and that he likes me. Today he said I'm a helluva player, and that he likes everything he's seen."
Tech is a major player for Parks.
"They're at the top with in-state schools," he informed. "I'm not going to make a decision until National Signing Day, though. I'm going to pull out the hats.
"Coach Diaz likes my attitude and how I stay on my grades. He said that's important. Tech is leading among in-state schools because of the relationship I have with the coaches, their style of play and how they came at me."
Parks is a fan of Diaz's approach.
"He lets you know he's interested," the junior said. "He lets you know they want you. I like that...that's huge. I think I could adapt well to the country lifestyle at Tech where I'd just work out and concentrate."
"I'm open to anybody," Parks added.
