Kingsley Keke, a 6-foot-4, 270-pound defensive linemen is starting to heat up as well. First he added an offer from North Texas and then he got big news by the way of the SEC when Mississippi State entered the picture with an offer as well. He previously held an offer from TCU.
Ole Miss did not stop with the offer to Newsome and it appears to be desiring speed in the slot and is focusing in on a few prospect from Texas to fill that role. The Rebels also extended offers to South Grand Prairie's Tony Nicholson and Clear Falls' John Humphrey.
Charles Omenihu committed to Texas, but that did not slow the offer parade. he got two more on Tuesday adding Mississippi State and Arizona State to the mix. Omenihu remains firmly committed to UT.
It was a busy day for Ryan Newsome from Aledo High. He picked up two offers -- both majors. First it was Ole Miss from the SEC. From there the news was even better when the National Champions Florida State stepped up. Newsome is one of the fastest players in the state.
Athletic defensive tackle Taaj Bakari, a 6-foot-2, 287-pounder from Mansfield (Texas) Legacy picked up his third offer from North Texas. The Mean Green join TCU and Oklahoma State on the list. Oklahoma State is out to an early lead.
After picking up two offers from the SEC it was time for the Big 12 to enter the race for Newton's Roney Elam when Baylor stepped up to the plate. "Baylor offered me," Elam reported.
Hale Hentges, a 6-foot-4, 230-pound tight end from Helias (Mo.) High is one of the top-recruited players in the Midlands and offers are just pouring in every day. On Tuesday, his father and Helias head coach Chris Hentges informed, "Hale was offered by Georgia and Virginia today."
Deshon Elliot, a 6-foot-2, 205-pound safety from Rockwall (Texas) Heath has been a hot prospect, He was elevated to four-star status on Monday and on Tuesday morning he confirmed that he had added an offer from the SEC by way of Arkansas. He also announced on Twitter that he was close to making a decision and announcing a verbal commitment. He holds offers from schools like Oklahoma, Texas and Texas A&M.
Zach Abercrumbia, a 6-foot-3, 255-pound defensive tackle from Dallas (Texas) Skyline continues to pick up interest and he added another offer on Monday night. "Washington State is the latest school that just offered me," Abercrumbia said, who also has offers from schools like Texas Tech, TCU and Texas State. "Things are going good."
Malik Jefferson, a 6-foot-3, 225-pound outside linebacker from Mesquite (Texas) Poteet picked up another offer when the Georgia Bulldogs came calling from the SEC. "Georgia offered," exclaimed Jefferson! The five-star prospect, rated as the No. 1 OLB nationally, attended junior day at Texas Tech with teammate DeAndre McNeal on Saturday.
It does not look like recruiting will slow any time soon for Scout Top 150 prospect Ronald Jones, a 6-foot-0, 190-pounder from McKinney (Texas) North. The latest to join the mix is the Miami (FL) Hurricanes. Jones has one of the most impressive offer lists in the region, but state powerhouses; Texas and Texas A&M have yet to step up.
Warren Wand, a 5-foot-7, 165-pound athlete from Edmond (Okla.) Memorial High picked up his first offer from Southern Miss. "Warren was just offered by Todd Monken at Southern Miss," coaches informed. "He was recruited by Jeff Horrocks." READ MORE: Wand Gets First Offer (Free)
Washington State is the latest offer from Beaumont (Texas) central cornerback James Locke, a 5-foot-11, 190-pounder. Locke now has a bevy offers which include a vast majority of Pac-12 programs like UCLA and Arizona State amongst others. Northwestern, Michigan State, SMU, Illinois, Notre Dame, Indiana and Baylor have also offered.
Scout.com three-star safety Roney Elam is quickly becoming one of the more high profile targets. The 6-foot-3, 167-pounder from added an offer from Mississippi State, his second offer from the SEC. Scout.com three-star defensive end Charles Omenihu, a 6-foot-4, 220-pound defensive end from Rowlett (Texas) High commits to the Texas Longhorns after adding an offer during the junior day festivities on Saturday. He also had offers from schools such as North Texas, Louisiana Tech, Northwestern, SMU, and Tulsa.
