Christian Campbell competed at the MVP Camp a year ago and he put his name on the map.
Campbell signed with Penn State earlier this month.
John Broussard was at the MVP Camp in Valdosta, Ga. February 16 and he has put his name on the map too.
"It felt good to hear my named called as the top defensive back," said Broussard. "I have been to a couple of camps before and I always wanted to be the top guy, so to win this time was great."
Broussard was strong in coverage after measuring in 6-foot, 163 pounds, and running the 40 yard dash in 4.66 seconds.
He took what he was being taught and combined that with what he already knew.
"The MVP Camp was so organized and the coaching was one of the best parts. I learned a lot about getting out of breaks, reading routes, and things like that. The 1on1s were very good too.
"I got to go out there and compete - I loved that part. It was great."
A few schools already know about Broussard. He is receiving mail from Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi State, and Nebraska.
There is one school in the SEC he really hopes to hear from.
"LSU is my school," said Broussard. "I really like LSU a lot and it has been my favorite school since I was a kid.
"I have watched guys like Patrick Peterson, Eric Reid, and so many top defensive backs play there. I like their style of play and the way they are coached."
Broussard plans to camp at LSU this summer and Auburn and Georgia are possibilities too.
He has started on the varsity for two seasons and he rarely gets tested in games, so Broussard wants to get out and show coaches in person what he can do.
