Another top TE in Arkansas

Some talented tight ends have been found in Arkansas over the last few years and C.J. O'Grady is one of the best in 2015...

Hunter Henry was the guy in 2013 He was an All-American tight end who played at the University of Arkansas as a true freshman.

Jake Kraus was the top tight end in Arkansas a year ago and Will Gragg is drawing a lot of interest with many big offers in 2015.

Gragg is not the only talented tight end in Arkansas this cycle, C.J. O'Grady is one as well.

Schools like Boise State, Louisville, Ole Miss, and Virginia had offered O'Grady before the in-state school did last weekend.

He knows a lot about the Hogs.

"Arkansas offered me Saturday at Junior Day and I was kind of expecting this one," said O'Grady. "I had been talking to the coaches a lot and they kind of set it up. It is a great offer and I like Arkansas a lot.

"I went to four or five games there this season and I like how they use the tight end a lot. They use two tight ends a lot on the field, so I like that. they also are high on academics and that is No. 1 for me, so that stands out."

Could a new offer come two weekends in a row?

The 6-foot-4, 230 pound tight end will travel to Austin, Texas Saturday and the Longhorns have been showing a lot of interest.

"I think Texas could be my next offer. They have been recruiting me a lot and they want me to visit like Arkansas did, so I think Texas could be close to offering me."

The weekend after O'Grady visits Texas, he will travel to Norman, Okl. to visit the Sooners. Oklahoma has already offered the Fayetteville, Ark. star.

Bob Stoops program is one of two top programs that stand out to the junior early on.

"I have not done a lot of research yet on many schools, but I do like Arkansas and Oklahoma," said O'Grady. "Those two are the main ones for me right now. I have visited Arkansas a good bit, so I know about them and I like how Oklahoma uses their tight ends. Like Arkansas, Oklahoma uses two tight ends on a the field a good bit."

A tentative top two for O'Grady right now, but that will change over time. He is in no rush to make a commitment.

"I am going to wait a while. I would like to announce at the Under Armour All-American game if I get the opportunity, but I am not close to a decision.

"I will attend a few camps this summer, take some more visits, and look for the right school for me academically and as a tight end."

O'Grady is a former quarterback with good athleticism, size, and length. He has a 3.2 GPA and he finished with over 800 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2013.
