He's already visited Clemson several times and was at the Tigers' most recent junior day. He also visited North Carolina in the same trip. He's also quite familiar with Florida State because his father played there. He'd like to take a couple more visits this spring then narrow down his list.
"I've visited a few of them before, so I don't necessarily need to get back to them, but Stanford I really want to try to get to. It's kind of an expensive trip, but we might try to get out there. Other than that, possibly Alabama, probably round it up with those two," Williams said.
"I'm trying to get to places and narrow stuff down before spring football so I can make a decision in the summer."
The four-star tight end will be keeping a few key factors in mind as he works through the recruitment process.
"The main things are if I'll fit in there, if the system fits the tight end well, if I can get plugged into a church there and just what kind of guys they recruit," he said.
His family has also been giving him some advice.
"They're just saying to follow my heart and rely on God for the answer," he said.
While Williams is enjoying the benefits of his hard work on the football field, he's hoping to wrap up his recruitment soon.
"It's exciting, I'm just ready to know where I'm going so I can really just focus on high school and working hard in the weight room," he said.
