Rockets Give Miller First Opportunity

Saline (Mich.) junior safety Tyrone Miller talks about his Toledo offer, recent Michigan State visit and more.

On Wednesday, Toledo became the first offer for Tyrone Miller, a good-sized (6'0, 185) defensive back from Saline High.

"I talked to Coach McDonald. He said 'congratulations, you have a full-ride to Toledo University,'" Miller says. "I'm feeling great. I'm feeling real anxious to get back out there and just do what I do best."

Miller was able to see the campus and meet the coaches recently and hopes to return before too long.

"I was down there last Sunday. I loved everything about it. We didn't see too much on the junior day because they were still working on the facilities, but they're going to take us back down there we can see the new facilities. The coaching staff is a lot like my high school, so it's a good matchup."

Another program showing interest is Michigan State, who Miller visited two weekends back.

"It was great. Even though they lost to Nebraska, it was still a great experience. The crowd was wild. Coach Samuel talked to me. He was saying they want to show my highlight to the DB coach."

Miller says he is also hearing from Indiana, Akron, Ball State, Western Michigan, Nebraska, Missouri and Georgia.
