Tide rolls out offer to top TE

Alabama rolled out some offers Saturday and one was to an elite tight end out of Tennessee. He talks about the Alabama offer here...

It seems like Jackson Harris is picking up offers everyday over the past month.

The Scout 300 tight end out of Columbia (Tenn.) Central visited Alabama Saturday and the Crimson Tide is the latest school to pull the trigger.

He had a good time in Tuscaloosa.

"I got a chance to look around, I got to meet the coaches, and I got to meet a lot of players today," said Harris. "I eventually got the offer from Coach [Nick] Saban and I had a great visit."

Like every other prospect it seems, the 6-foot-5, 240 pound is happy about his offer from the Crimson Tide.

"I am excited about it [offer] and I am very interested in Alabama. They are actually pretty low at the tight end position and I feel their pro-style offense fits me. They have a good engineering program too."

Harris does not have a leader yet, but he is slowly starting to trim his long list.

"I am starting to let schools know that I am not interested, so I am slowly cutting my list down. I have not really cut enough yet for it to matter, but I have started."

Harris is the No. 10 tight end in the country on Scout.
