BCS offer for Belton

West Monroe (LA) 2015 QB Jon Randall Belton got his second BCS offer in a little more than a week...

Jon Randall Belton has his second BCS offer in the past couple of weeks.

"I visited Georgia Tech today and they offered," he said. "(Coach) Paul Johnson and I had a couple of laughs when I went into the office, and he said they already offered.

"They said I fit their style of offense and can help them succeed even more. It's a different atmosphere at Georgia Tech. There's nothing much to do in the small town of West Monroe where I live except to hunt ducks."

Belton holds previous offers from Louisiana Tech, Mississippi State and the Cajuns in Lafayette.

"I've visited Atlanta a few times and every time it's different," Belton said. "I love the atmosphere. I came up here after junior day at Alabama.

"I like Coach Johnson. He's a respectful man and a very nice guy. He sounds like a good spiritual man who wants us to focus early on academics more than anything, and will help us find jobs and internships."

Belton added that it's always a blessing to get an offer as a sophomore quarterback; most schools want to see signal-callers throw in camp before they'll offer.
