Jones checks out Toppers
Rasheed Jones made the trip from Paducah to Bowling Green last weekend to take a look at Jeff Brohm's Western Kentucky Hilltoppers. Jones joined several Western Kentucky football targets on a Junior Day visit. Jones left the campus with a positive impression of what Western Kentucky was doing with their football program. "I love how much love they show for student athletes, including other sports at their school. And I love how much they care about the education," Jones said. Jones was impressed with the coaches and the goals they put in place for their athletes. "I think the new coaching staff is a good one. They have high expectations and want to achieve the goals they've set for the team," Jones said. There may be only one minor road block at this stage for Jones to get a scholarship offer from the Hilltoppers. "I think they're really close to offering me. I just have to take the ACT and pass. And we'll see from there," he finished. Jones was highly productive for McCracken County High. "Pooh" caught 66 passes for 940 yards and nine touchdowns. He also carried the ball 33 times for 247 yards and seven more scores. Scout.com will keep you updated on Rasheed Jones.
