"I just wanted to see the new facilities they have built with the athletic complex," Womack said. "I have been looking at the progress so I was interested in seeing the finished product. They are really nice. You can tell they are trying to do big things at Ole Miss"
The Rebels are not the only school from the SEC who are showing interest in the mammoth offensive tackle.
"A few of the SEC schools like Alabama, South Carolina, MSU, LSU and Vandy are showing me some interest and want me to come over to their junior days. Memphis and USM also want me to come stop by."
Matt Womack has not received any official scholarship offers yet. What does he need to work on to start gathering some scholarship offers?
"I need to work on my footwork. I think when I get that better I will start getting some."
Womack checked in to Ole Miss at 6' 7", 315 pounds.
"I am benching 330 pounds right now. I never max out on my squat because I had a back injury. I run block the best. I need to continue to work on my footwork for pass blocking but it's getting better."
The All-District and State selection has been to Ole Miss numerous times in the past.
"Matt enjoys Ole Miss every time he visits," his father Dave said. "He spoke with coach (Hugh) Freeze, coach (Matt) Luke and coach Johnson a good bit. They all invited him over for spring practice and the spring game. Coach Luke told Matt to come and visit anytime or just hang out. Listen in on the team meetings and just get to know everyone. We haven't asked about an offer but coach Luke has told me and his mother that Matt is at the top of there board for 2015 and just wants to see how much he has improved at camp this year."
What exactly did the Womack's want to key in on during the trip outside of the new facilities?
"We have been there so much and sat down with coach Luke in his offices over five times I know, so all we really did was look at the new improvements. We know what Ole Miss has to offer so were just talking visits getting to know everyone better. That is where Matt will make his decision on what school to attend by what coaches he feels comfortable with. We're going to visit Southern Miss next week and South Carolina March 29th."
What stood out the most about the Rebels on the visit?
"The hospitality was great. There was a small group of players on hand so it gave us a lot of one on time with the Ole Miss coaches. We always enjoy being around that group of coaches."
