The Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex saw 29 new FBS offers issued during the past week. McKinney North 2015 running back Ronald Jones received eight of them.
Jones has become one of the hottest prospects in the entire country in the last couple of weeks. His offer list has grown to more than 20 schools, including the following programs that offered him during the past week: Texas A&M, Colorado, Auburn, USC, Ohio State, Arizona State, Texas, and Oregon.
Three other DFW 2015 prospects picked up multiple offers last week. Here's a full recap of all of the offers:
Landis Durham, 2015 LB, Plano East -- the versatile defender, who has garnered interest at inside and outside linebacker in addition to defensive end, picked up an offer from Nevada on Monday to push him closer to double-digit offers.
Ronald Jones, 2015 RB, McKinney North -- as mentioned above, Jones continued to rack up offers. The following schools offered him between Monday and Friday of last week: Texas A&M, Colorado, Auburn, USC, Ohio State, Arizona State, Texas, and Oregon.
Greg Little, 2016 OT, Allen -- the 6-foot-6, 285-pound Little was the first of three 2016 prospects to get an offer when Auburn offered him Monday. Little already holds a dozen offers.
DaMarkus Lodge, 2015 WR, Cedar Hill -- the state's top-ranked receiver in the 2015 class was one of the four players to get multiple offers during the past week. Nebraska offered Lodge on Tuesday before Arkansas came calling Wednesday.
James Lockhart, 2015 DE, Ennis -- Arkansas also sent out an offer to Lockhart, who is approaching the 20-offer mark.
Bailey Phillips, 2016 CB, West Mesquite -- while Utah was at it offering Butler, the Utes decided to extend an offer to his younger teammate Phillips. All three of Phillips' offers come from Pac-12 programs.
Darrell Miller, 2015 CB, Cedar Hill -- the third Utah offer of the week went to another cornerback. Miller picked up an offer from the Utes on Wednesday.
Ryan Newsome, 2015 WR, Aledo, -- one of the biggest offer lists in the state got bigger Wednesday when Colorado offered Newsome.
Carlos Strickland, 2015 WR, Dallas Skyline -- the first of two late-week North Texas offers went to Strickland, who Scout.com rates as the state's No. 2 receiver in the 2015 class.
Savon Rollinson, 2015 WR, Dallas Skyline -- North Texas went ahead and offered Strickland's teammate Rollinson, a 5-foot-9, 160-pound speedster.
Tony Nicholson, 2015 WR/CB, South Grand Prairie -- the Pac-12 remained active in DFW on Friday thanks to Arizona State's offer to Nicholson.
